Dalyan Delta
Dalyan is situated on a broad delta of unspoilt natural beauty, surrounded by wetlands, green fields and spectacular mountain ranges. more
Every day in summer, boats leave the quayside to cruise to the hot springs and mud baths, passing through the reed beds of the Dalyan Delta where scenes from the film ‘African Queen’ were shot; and by the ruins of Kaunos with its Lycian tombs etched into the rock face.
After a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant it’s on to Iztuzu beach (known locally as Turtle Beach). With its fine crystalline sand, shallow turquoise sea and abundant sunshine, Iztuzu beach provides a perfect backdrop for swimming and relaxing.
Tlos & Saklikent
Tlos lies on the east side of the Xanthos Valley, about 28kms from Fethiye and is dominated by its acropolis, complete with Roman amphitheatre. more
This rocky outcrop slopes up from a plateau with a charming village, and ends in almost perpendicular cliffs. On its slope are several Lycian sarcophagi and many tombs cut into the face of the hill.
A short ride away is Saklikent, one of the largest and most spectacular gorges in Europe.
The whole area is rich in magnificent scenery and the drive takes you through some of Turkey’s most picturesque countryside. The gorge itself stretches for some 18kms, but is only accessible on foot for a few kilometres. Be prepared to get wet, as you begin walking up the cool, clear waters of the gorge - the level can be hip-deep in parts (waterproof shoes are advisable, though can be hired). Having explored the gorge, there are some lovely restaurants by the water’s edge where you can relax and enjoy freshly made pancakes and a cool drink. For the more adventurous there is the also opportunity to go rafting down the rapids in a dinghy!
Jeep Safari
On a jeep safari, you’ll drive off the beaten track in convoy to discover ancient cultures, unspoilt village life and beautiful countryside. more
There will be opportunities to explore the ruins of the ancient city of Tlos, then see the art of carpet- and kilim making at a traditional factory before experiencing the icy waterfalls and streams of hidden Saklikent Canyon.
After lunch in the open air, and en-route to the beautiful classical ruins at Xanthos, the mud baths and rushing waters of the Xanthos River will give you a chance to cool off before relaxing on the white sands of 18km long Patara Beach. Join as a driver or non-driver, and be prepared to return a little tired and dusty, but thoroughly exhilarated, after the 180km round trip.

Ephesus & Pamukkale
Ephesus is the best-preserved classical city on the Mediterranean and one of the best places in the world to get a feeling for ancient Roman life. more
Historically a strategic coastal gateway to the eastern world, this ancient Ionian refuge grew to be the second largest city in the Roman Empire and is still regarded as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
A typical trip will involve an early morning start from Fethiye, with regular stops for coffee, and lunch on arrival at Ephesus. The afternoon is spent exploring the town before checking into a small local hotel for the evening. Next morning you will leave for Pamukkale, (swimwear and sun protection essential!) to visit ‘Cotton Castle’ – a remarkable natural rock formation created over a period of millions of years. Hot spring waters burst from deep within the earth and run through the ancient city of Hieropolis before cascading down the cliff face, forming calcium pools and covering the mountainside in gleaming white deposits that are visible for miles. A swim in the famous ‘Cleopatra’s pool’ of hot mineral waters will leave you feeling thoroughly refreshed; then its on to the shops and off to lunch before setting off back to Fethiye.
A truly unforgettable experience!
